You could take an action…. This sounds like very unhelpful advice! If it was that easy you wouldn’t be stuck in the first place…
I get that, but what I’m inviting you to do is to consider if there was one thing you could do today to move you forward.
But if you’re stuck because you don’t know what do, how are you supposed to know what action to take?
Good point. Perhaps I can help. I invite you to write (or whatever your equivalent is – voice notes, bullet journal, doodling etc).
The magic of writing:
I believe in the magic of writing. The action of putting pen to paper slows your mind down. It also helps you to unravel your thoughts. Writing might help you recognise something you could change. It might identify something that no longer applies. It could show you a pattern of behaviour or thought process you could challenge…
Things you could write about:
🔶 why you feel stuck.
🔶 what is it that’s stopping you from making the change
🔶 what you want the future to look and feel like
🔶 what success really looks like to you
🔶 what is it you’re afraid of happening or not happening
Or if you’d prefer to be more forward looking, you could write about:
🔶 what, in an ideal world, you’d be doing today
✳️ no limitations, the idea here is to throw the net as wide as possible
✳️ notice any themes or patterns that appear
✳️ don’t worry if you can’t be specific. It’s better at this stage to think
about what you feel, where you are, what skills you’re using and even
what you’re wearing
🔶 which skills you’d like to be using. Not those you’re good at, but the ones
you actively want to use
🔶 your values and identify which of these you’d like to honour in your work
Invitation:
So, I invite you to take your paper and pens, and maybe a cup of your favourite beverage, find somewhere quiet and write…..
