I’ve made several big changes in my life, switching careers and leaving a damaging relationship. I know how hard change can be. It’s never instant, and it takes courage, persistence, and self-motivation.
I know what it feels like to be unsure. To keep questioning where you are, where you want to go and not committing to either.
I used to envy people who loved their jobs and seemed to know exactly what they wanted. I knew I wasn’t where I wanted to be, but I couldn’t figure out where “there” was. The Sunday night blues crept in earlier each week. I’d stand on the train platform, wishing I were somewhere else, but not knowing where that was.
I kept thinking, If I could just figure out what I want, then I could make a plan. But I was stuck in a loop—Should I stay or should I go? I couldn’t decide. I wasn’t miserable or burned out, which made it harder to explain. It was just a nagging feeling that there had to be more.
I tried quizzes and career tools, but they never really fit. And even when something clicked, life often got in the way.
That’s when coaching changed things for me. It gave me space to dig deeper, to speak freely without judgment, and to finally move through the blocks that kept me stuck.
